Our Commitment

The Old Dominion University Educational Foundation, formed in 1955 as a nonprofit organization, exists for the benefit of Old Dominion University. As the primary academic fundraising institution for ODU, we cultivate philanthropy that provides substantial support to the University's academic programs through endowments and annual gifts.

The Office of Development helps to support the foundation's mission by advancing the teaching, research, and public service of Old Dominion University while increasing the amount of private financial support available to the University and its Colleges. Foundation staff members solicit and manage investments in academics and community programs essential to the University's pursuit to be among the best universities. Your gifts create scholarships, advance faculty endeavors, research, enhance student programs and services and funding capital construction projects.

Learn more about how your gift can make a difference at Old Dominion University or contact our development office to create your own Monarch legacy.

When asking what this scholarship means to me the answer is as simple as one word. Success. While the monetary aspect does take a relief on my financial status, it is more than that. Doors opened, chances given, and taken is what gives me the foot in the door. Being a college student, what I love most is the possibility to grow and that growth is endless.
